With a chic French industrial look, you can use this metal and wood console as a sofa table, desk and even for extra dining when guests arrive. Two leaves on either side flip open, and pull-out supports brace the leaves when open. The soft Flaky White finish over Poplar and Hardwood Solids with Maple Veneers contrasts with the Aged Iron base. The whole home collection is an eclectic mix of European farmhouse pieces that have the appearance of furniture that has been refinished multiple times as it has passed through the generations. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
