Rooms that evolve naturally from one occasion to the next call for furnishings with an equally effortless sense of versatility. The Driftwood Flip Top Console Table in the Worn Saddle finish answers beautifully, pairing adaptable function with a warm brown tone inspired by supple leather and hand tooled heirlooms. Natural knots, worm holes, and a dry distressed surface deepen the character of the wood, giving the table the established warmth of a piece that has belonged to the home for years.
At just 16 inches deep when closed, the narrow rectangular silhouette slips gracefully into an entryway or living space, providing a handsome setting for art, books, or collected objects. The top flips open to double the depth to 32 inches, creating additional surface area for entertaining or an inviting dining space when the occasion calls for it. A double pedestal base with a connecting stretcher gives the design a substantial, timeless presence.
From the quiet rituals of everyday living to an impromptu dinner shared with friends, the Driftwood Flip Top Console Table in the Worn Saddle finish adapts without losing its sense of refinement. Its warmth and versatility make it the kind of piece that becomes increasingly indispensable as life unfolds around it.
Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture.
We recommend using coasters, placements and trivets when using hot containers with this item. It is also recommended to provide quick cleanup for any spills to minimize exposure to moisture. Doing so will prolong the life and look of the item and provide many years of the quality you expect.
