UPHOLSTERY INFORMATION:
We provide no upholstery services,
however, for your reference in planning your own fabric needs, listed
below are the Fabric Yardage requirements for our wicker furniture
pieces. Using a plain or small pattern fabric, 54" wide:
Sofa = 4
yards total for all 3 cushions, Chair or rocker seat cushion = 3/4
yard, Interior Chaise = 3 yards, Outdoor wicker Chaise = 4 yards, Large
Hall bench = 3 yards, Settee = 3 1/2 yards, Ottoman = 1 1/2 yards,
Small Hall bench = 1 1/2 yards. If the fabric has a large repeat, 20"
or more, add approximately 20% more required fabric.
INDOORS OR OUT?:
Our Interior Wicker Furniture pieces are appropriate for indoors, but also can be enjoyed on a covered or screened proch. We do not recommend them for use outdoors in the direct elements without any shelter.
However, we offer an acrylic, non-toxic, water based varnish
application that will provide some protection against the elements.
This service is available for a small up-charge per piece (see chart).
The manufacturer suggests the application should be re-applied every 1
1/2 to 2 years. Even with this application, Mainly Baskets still
recommends if they are used outdoors, they should be kept under some
form of shelter.
